Thursday 10th - Book Club

7:30pm at The Weatsheaf Hotel with Lisa Hobman

Using the resource of a well-known local author, Lisa Hobman, Swinton Book Club will open it's first chapter this year in the form of monthly meetings to discuss novels and literature in a lighthearted easy going manner, with plenty of discussion in the relaxing surroundings of The Wheatsheaf Hotel.
This month the book being discussed is "Holding" by Graham Norton.
New members always welcome.

Wednesday 16th - Craft Club (evening)

7-9pm at The Weatsheaf Hotel

All welcome - tea, coffee & biscuits provided at cost of £3.
Come along and have a laugh and a blether, no experience necessary!

Swinton Horticultural Society have arranged for two guest speakers as part of the Swinton Village Events programme. On the evening we will hear from Jim Williams on "Greenhouse Growing" and Gordon Mitchell on "House Plants"
Refreshments available.

Friday 8th - Film Night

4pm & 7:30 at Swinton Church

Supported and assisted by The British Film Institute who provide professional screening equipment and films, our film nights will continue with an early evening children's film at 4pm followed by a family film at 7:30pm with refreshments available throughout.

With strong support from local residents, the formation of Swinton History Group is scheduled to research and record the history and characters of our village, aiming to prepare a presentation for Gala Day 2019.

After the success of Gala Day 2018 we are all ready for another Great Gala Day in 2019.

There are lots of Family Fun Activities and the pipe band is booked!

Swinton Horticultural Society's 131st annual show will take place on Swinton Village green.
